[An open letter to career climbers]

You will build a career either through

  1. Riding someone's coattails
  2. Making such a splash that nobody can miss it

If you are here, you are likely either a woman or person of color. I've spent years making the mistakes, learning the unspoken rules, and figuring out what actually moves the needle in your career. Now I share those hard-earned insights so you can skip the painful learning curve, knowing that a lot of my community looks like me, and is unlikely to make it to the top on coattails. Our pipeline is broken.

Most career advice tells you to "work hard and good things will happen." But that's not how it works. The successful professional doesn't just ask: "How can I get the next job?" They develop the specific skills and strategies to make it happen.

It's not about climbing blindly. It's about climbing with direction.

But let's be real — the climb isn't equal for everyone. Consider this: as many women wrote business bestsellers as men named John in 2020. How did 3% of the population perform as well as half the population? While women make up 50% of the entry-level workforce, less than 30% of C-suite positions are held by women, and a mere 7% by women of color.

What happens between entry-level and the executive floor? The ladder narrows, the rungs spread further apart, and the rules change without warning. Suddenly "just work harder" isn't enough anymore—you need to know how the game actually works.

That's why I created these resources—to fast-track you into the growth pipeline with the playbook I wish I'd had. The interview strategies that actually work. The resume framework that gets you noticed. The weekly insights that help you navigate the unspoken rules.

Because learning from someone else's mistakes is so much smarter than making your own.

I have free and paid resources above, and content across Instagram and Tiktok. I am glad you are here.
